Can you take communion at home
Thank You that because of the grace of Jesus we have real life, and we can live forever in You. Okay, go ahead and eat the bread. Next, ask someone else to pray for the cup and lead the group in this second part of communion. Jesus asked us to drink this cup to remember that our sins are washed by the powerful new covenant Jesus made possible between us and God.
God, what an incredible picture this is of Your love for us. You allowed Your only Son to literally be poured out so that we could be in a fully restored relationship with You. Thank You, Jesus, for giving your blood. Go ahead and drink the cup. Ask some people in your group to come ready to share a story of something that Jesus has restored in their life.

I find your article to be a revelation for I have been pondering on taking holy communion at home and by myself not knowing how I will do it. I have been seeking an answer and now through you I am answered. May you increase in your ministry and I pray for more blessings to you. I started taking Holy communion about three weeks ago. It has increased my speaking in tongues and my prayer life is supernatural. Thank you so much.

Hi Jamie, Love this lesson!!! I used to do this way more often. I would sometimes just go to a friends house,bringing the elements with me, and invite them to partake. I agree you you wholeheartedly that we should be doing this more often. Especially at home with our families!!!

In this time, those who gathered for worship would share a meal and a time of worship, prayer, and fellowship together. These people are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm—shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted—twice dead.
Paul refers to the instruction of Jesus where he instituted the practice of communion to be observed from that time forward by his Church from Matthew So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.
For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. It is important to notice that this was something commonly done in the churches described in the New Testament, and it is not something that needed to be administered, performed or distributed by a church leader. We are not worthy to gather the crumbs from under Your table. We have a mindset that the church is a place we go to. In the Bible , church is always a reference to people, not a place. The church is a body of believers that live out the Gospel in their words and actions. This includes the power of Communion , too. However, before the coronavirus rocked our world, millions of believers were already taking Communion in hiding because of persecution.
Other brothers and sisters in Christ are homebound due to disabilities or the inability to drive or have transportation. They too, have been benefited from the power of Communion in their living rooms.
He wants us to feel scattered, isolated, and alone. He wants us to think that we are vulnerable because we cannot gather at church. It happened as part of a festival celebration that began in the Old Testament period. Jewish people would have celebrated Passover in remembrance of how God leads his people out of slavery. The first-ever Communion service occurred during a meal known as the Passover.
The gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke record the first Communion. Not only to receive bread and wine to remember, but to break our bodies together, and offer ourselves to others—the way He does. Our daily bread is not a symbol of mere earthly sustenance; it is true spiritual food, the real flesh and blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Communion is nourishment that transcends church walls and finds its power and its essence in the very workings of the Trinity itself.
