Where is the hyman in a woman

Imperforate hymen is a medical condition where there is no opening or a very small one in your hymen. This becomes a problem with menstruation periods as blood cannot come out, causing pain. It may also cause problems with passing urine peeing or bowel motions pooing. You may also have difficulty with inserting tampons or having sex.
This is an uncommon problem around 1 in every girls and requires surgery under anaesthetic to give the hymen an opening to allow blood to flow. Virginity is a quality that we all have — it is not a physical thing. It is your choice to share your virginity and experience sexual intimacy with another person — without pressure or impairment eg, from drugs or alcohol.
It cannot be lost or taken by someone else. This is really important to understand, because you are in charge of your body and of your sexuality. You cannot tell if someone is a virgin or not based on whether they bleed the first time they have sex. Contrary to popular belief, the hymen is not a flat piece of tissue covering the vagina, which is punctured during intercourse.
If it were, girls would not be able to menstruate before they lose their virginity because there would be no outlet for menstrual blood. Usually, the hymen looks like a fringe of tissue around the vaginal opening. It is not an intact piece of tissue draped across it. Some girls are born without a hymen, others have only a scanty fringe of tissue.
Moreover, for all its fabled mystery, the hymen is just a body part. Like eyes, noses and breasts, everyone is a little different. Girls often disrupt the hymen during play. There is often some bleeding. Nonetheless, the hymen is prized and parents and teens sometimes worry that the prize has been lost.
Often, mothers bring their daughters to see me because they, or the father, want to know if the girl is a virgin. Of course, in New York and many states teens have a right to confidential care so I cannot tell the mother anything unless the teen gives me permission to do so.
It is not so easy to tell whether a girl is a virgin, because hymens are so varied. If there is not much of a hymen I have no way of knowing what happened to it. Was it a boyfriend or a bicycle? Or, perhaps, this girl did not have much tissue there to begin with.
As covered earlier, every hymen looks different, so there is no set standard for finding evidence of penetration. This idea that the hymen breaks when we first have sex has also led to a belief that our first time should be painful. In reality, pain during penetration is more likely to arise from anxiety, or from sexual inexperience, than from stretching the hymen. While we may feel removed from such practices as forced virginity testing, this is a worldwide problem that can affect women and girls everywhere.
